Also having a leaderboard before we are happy with the game’s balance can be problematic. ![]() Technical Stuff: Important stuff like leaderboards can be very challenging to code and we have lots to code. To compensate for this we are starting a closed beta test (more information is below) and releasing the game as early access so we can see more people playing the game and finding broken combos. I need to add, we added one more island for the Early Access so you can experience how those will be.īalance: We are a team of 5 so the testing we can do is limited. The main reason being that we can polish those islands more and deliver better gameplay for them. An example? Islands! We want to add different and unique islands to the game as the game develops in Early Access. So, why are we releasing the game as early access then? Well, there are a couple of reasons for this.Ĭontent: Even though the early access contains a full gameplay loop it still misses some content that we want to add to the final version.
